The reason why Obama is leading by a landslide is because of McCain chosing Palin as a Vice Pres.

Which is getting more female voters.

Anonymous said...

I think that Hillary Clinton should be president because she would be the first women president. I don't follow any of this so I don't know anything about the people that are running for presidents.

I dont think obama should have rejected hillary clinton for vice president. And there is alot of racism going around, like they said 95% of african americans are voting for obama and not Mcain.

Obama is stupid for not letting Hilary Clinton being a Vice President for him. He would of got all the Clinton fans for him and would of have an edge over McCain. But McCain chose Sarah Palin which got more female voters for McCain. But Obama has more African American voters for him so its going to be a good election.

i think Obama would be a better president because in my apinion McCain is another George Bush!

What McCain did by choosing Palin was an attack against Obama. McCain was getting the last laugh at Obama not choosing Clinton.

Anonymous said...

I don't know much about the election because i don't watch it because i wanted Hillary to win and she is out so she cant win and i don't want it anymore.

The first post does not make sense because Obama is not leading by a landslide, as it says in the title.

-----Travis Fiero----

Anonymous said...

Yeah thats true, the first comment really doesn't make sense.
Anywho, I don't think Obama should've rejected Hillary for vice pres. like that.

Obama is not winning by a landslide because of Sara Palin. She is attracting some of Obamas young voters and also she is attracting more female activists.
Mike Velino

Anonymous said...

Obama is isn't winning because like the kid before me said that Mcain is getting more female votes but Obama is still getting most if not all the black votes and its hard to tell if African women will vote for Mcain or Obama but as for me id choose Obama

Anonymous said...

Obama should have Hillary Clinton as his vice because a lot of people wanted her to win and if he chose her than he would have a lot of votes.
Also the fact that Hillary has Bill Clinton behind her is a great help because he seemed like a great president and this country would be able to get back on track.

Anonymous said...

the reason hes not leading by a landslide because so many people are racist so they don't want to have a kinda black president.

I think obama should be winning because mccain picked a women vice president and that bringing more women voters to make him president when Mccains is bringing in more african Americans as voter over the U.S
-------- Nicholas Braga--------

Anonymous said...

The reason Obama is not wining because is because Mccain is attracting the older voters while Obama is attracting the younger voters who most of the time don't end up voting.

both Obama and mccain are inadequate candidates. Hillary was the better candidate.

I think that Obama is not leading by a landslide because less young people vote and the majority of the young people like Obama

Obama is not leading by a landslide because he attacks the current system instead of saying how he is going to improve it.

Okies...,First of all it was a smart idea for Obama NOT to pick Hillary Clinton to be vice president. When her husband was in office she was the one who pretty much ran everything. She's already had her chance, she's already been in office, she doesn't need to again and take control of a man who is perfectly capable of running things without her. Also, If you think about it, if we dont elect and black president all the other countries in the world will still see us as a racist country. In my personal opinion Obama should be winning and should be elected as president. But here's my theory..., Obama is black. And all of our presidents so far have been white. Also in the united states we have Neo-Nazi groups like the Aryan Warriors, and there's also then KKK. So if Obama is elected as president, I have no doubt in my mind that one of those groups will find a way to assassinate him. Anywho,Obama should be winning, he's not, but he really needs to.

i want obama to win at least he's trying to change things for our country and get us out of war he seems like he would do much better than bush is right now all bush has done is get our country in debt.

obama is getting more votes is because he is a better canidate and palin is not the person for a president and mcaain is toold if he dies then she is in power of the presidential office

Anonymous said...

I dont think obama deserves to be president. He has made a lot of mistakes already and I dont think he will make the right decision for billions of people. He needed Hillary Clinton to be in the top two with him. I think she should have been president. I believe she is very strong and would make good choices for us.

think that a lot of people won't vote for Obama because they are racist and don't want a black president. I don't understand understand why they might do that if they are racist because they should think about the community and hoe it would really be the best choice if the put their racism aside.

Well, it seems that Obama has some good policies but, he is not portraying his plain in office the proper way to gain a landslide victory in the 2009 election. He definitely has to make sure that his campaign will appeal to a more widespread audience than he currently has.

i think that Obama is not winning by a landslide because, this probably has to do with Sarah Palin. Women are realizing that men shouldn't be the only one to lead or help lead the country.

I think Obama has good head on this shoulders. I think McCain is having a hard time because of who he wants for vice president. I also think Hillary Clinton should have stayed in the running for president. I think the US.Is ready for a change.

Anonymous said...

the reason why Barak Obama isn't ahead is because this country is afraid of what will happen if a black man is our president of the united states. so GO OBAMA! John McCain will die in like a year! and i do not want another George Bush in office. bring some color to the history books.

I don't no who would win write now.IF oboma won then he might get shot because of racist people. If mccain wins hes very old so he might die very soon.

Obama is not leading by a landslide because he is unexperienced. Even his vice presidential pick, Joe Biden, said " I think he can be ready but now he isn't. President is not a job that consists of on the job training."

Kurt Pearson ( for VP)

Obama needs to tell us what he is going to change, I'm not pro McCain, but the two reasons to vote McCain are Sarah Pailin, she put the governors personal plain on ebay because she thought it was a wast of tax money, and the second is Obama himself.

I agree with the article, this election, it seems that Obama, along with john McCain have not been very public about any thing, Back in 6th grade when i could care less about polotics I knew more about the candidates, but now that im trying to learn about either one I seem to be coming up with nothing

hes not leading because everyone still thinks he is a muzlim and a terrorist. ugh* ignorant public will ruin us!!!

i think that both candidates would be good presidents but if i had to choose one it would be John macain/but either way we will make history because we will have an African American president or a female vise president

Although this story is about all the mistakes he made running for president I think this story doesn't focus on all the good and right desisions he made during his presidency run. Also in my opinion Obama can not do worse then Bush in any way shape or form. He would have to do better then Bush because all bush did was weaken the economy.

This is a very interesting race because, we have a candidate who is black, then a candidate who is old.
There are to many people in this country who are racist or dont want an old president. Also it was a bad move by McCain to pick a woman VP. That hurts him a lot because there are a lot of sexist people in this country. But McCain did make a good move in anouncing his VP right after the democratic convention to steal the spotlight from Obama.

i think hillary not being obama's running mate is better for the democrats because hillary will help them be more influencial in the senate where if she was the vice pres. her abilities as a politician would go to waste.

okay, first of all, I don't know why obama would reject hilary as his vice president....smooth move buddy. but then again i dont really care because i dont want him to be president. i dont like any of the canidates this year...unfortunately. if i could vote, i would vote for john mcain...but whatever i dont know all that much about this presidency stuff.

Anonymous said...

I think that it is partly because he does'nt get into as much detail about his proposals and people would expect and the way he didn't do what is normally done as far as debates and offers with presidential candidates.

---Chris Sanson

Obama is younger which in my oppinion may be backing some people away, thinking he is in-experienced. The fact of his skin color has nothing to do with it, as many people have posted saying the oppisite. Mccain seems to be bringing people in, but not just because of Palin. Obama's slipping behind, but who knows what could happen.
