I think that Obama doesn't really have any good quotes. I feel that McCain gives more reasoning and explanation for what he is saying on these topics.

i think mccain is being hypocritical because he's talking about how people shouldn't be spending these crazy amounts of money and shouldn't when he has 13 cars and 8 houses. seriously then when you loo at obama he only has one car. i don't really agree with mccain i'm scared he'll ust continue things that bush had started. i thin obama should be elected it is time for a chnange.

I agree with Brooke on this topic. McCain had more reasoning while, Mr.Obama is just talking and making very little impressions on me.

but.
I still favor Obama.
"Obama: You talk about the surge. The war started in 2003, and at the time when the war started, you said it was going to be quick and easy. You said we knew where the weapons of mass destruction were. You were wrong. You said that we were going to be greeted as liberators. You were wrong. You said that there was no history of violence between Shia and Sunni. And you were wrong. "
exactly.
Can't trust McCain.

IRAQ AND THE TROOP SURGE:
kay i deffinately agree with kristen and brittany!! like what the heck?? 600billion dollars..think about that people..thats a million times 6000..thats REDICULOUS!!! and 4000 lives..that mean ppl DEAD if you were not sure..as in not living..hello we werent asked to go down there. we dont have a right to go down and "fix" things.. who said things needed to be fixed? i completely agree with obama 100%!!!
1 word explaines it all: rediculous.

Although McCain has been around longer then Obama has i think that Obama would end up being beter than McCain because McCain has the same views that Bush has, in my opinion.

I really dont have any thing to say about this article because I think between Bacon and Kristin V. they summed it up what I thought.

"I don't think I need any on-the-job training." - McCain

I just think that this statement is false. There is no possible way to have training outside of the job. That's why the president's position is so hard. You can't train for it.

Well i for one agree strongly with Obama.
I agree with his statement at the end of the debate about manufacturing new cars in the United States rather than South Korea or Japan.

And McCain uses really weird similes.

i think there both really close and i would like obama to win but i dont know if he has the expirience to do that and mccain who has 13 cars sayin we shouldnt be spending all this money, i mean at least if your gona say stop spending so much money dont have 13 cars and 8 houses!

I agree with Obama personally. McCain is about the same things as Bush. Bush, in my opinion hasn't really done anything benefitial with things like the war. Obama brings great points to McCain's attention, that I feel can't really be argued or ignored.

"We've spent over $600bn so far, soon to be $1 trillion. We have lost over 4,000 lives. We have seen 30,000 wounded, and most importantly, from a strategic national security perspective, al-Qaeda is resurgent, stronger now than at any time since 2001. We took our eye off the ball."
I liked this quote from Obama. I think he put it in our faces what we have lost from this war and the mistake it's been. Is 4,00 lives really worth it?

I think Obama as president would bring some of the change we need. I saw on the news that Iraq has a surplus of 79 or 89 billion dollars in the bank. Not only have we spent more than 600 billion dollars but we are now trillions of dollars in debt. I'm all for helping other people but I don't think we are doing enough good in the war to be lowering our econemy even more when Iraq has the money to protect themselves.

I just think that is silly that McCain didn't know that information. I don't know, I really don't care who wins. I belive all our Presidents do what they feel is best for our country, and that either president would be fine.

I think McCain just says things we all want to hear and he tries to get us to believe he is just like us, when he most definitely is not like for example his thirteen cars and eight houses.. i doubt anyone you know closely has that many cars and houses. While Obama has only one car, (at least i'm pretty sure.) and if anything has a more "everyday" kind of guy outlook on the people of America. Basically Obama's quotes make more sense and have a bit more "average joe" outlook on to them.

I feel that Obama is in the right direction. (Sorry to the Republicans out there. =\) I think it's right to remember how many live have been lost because of the Iraq war. We also have to think about something big... money. Obama was right with the HUGE amount that has been spent on Iraq. With the stock market going bonkers it's only safe to try and save as much money as we can.

Anonymous said...

I think obama is ight on all the quotes he said .He talkes about all the things mccain has lied about and done wrong and how he'll fix them. He talked about how mccain lied and said there wouldent be much violence with iraqu.I think obama would make a better president than miccain.I also think that mccain will be like Bush becaust he talked about how we will get through the war in iraq and it makes me think that mccain might keep going to wars and thinking he'll come out good like Bush.

Geez there goes mccain galavantin about. He didnt even do anything except say "senator obama does not understand." He is going to be just like bush (maybe worse) and then die in office and palin will take over.
