After George leaves office i highly doubt he will regain his once "great " popularity as once before. I think George is going to have a hard time back in the every day life since it seems that so many people hold a grudge agienst him as a person and president. basically the dude needs help.
I basically agree with everyone else. He does need help. And I agree with Alycia... he won't regain popularity. The 9/11 attacks definately have tons of people convinced it was conspiracy.
I agree with Katie. George Bush will be more popular when he gets out of office because everyone holds a grudge against him for making the wrong decisons for this country. So they will be happy when he leaves office and will like him more.
Yea I think all republican conservatives Like Georgie Boy, and a certain freshman Vice President *cough, cough* need help and I also dont think he'll ever be as popular again.
Danny Candeias(needs a cookie) periodizzle: fow (four)
I don' think Mr.Bush will ever regain his looked upon status. He has been blamed for many things as driving our country to the ground, said that the terrorist attacks were known and not taken care of, and more that are much to extraneous to list them all. This article may have had good points...not that I caught them all.
i agree with every one bush needs help but guys if the usa offered enough help woulnt he have taken it all ready he needs all the help he can get. ryan per3
i think geroge bush will have a tough time living a normal life once he leaves office. and he will probably not gain his popularity back unless he stays in politics.
I agree with them ... but not totally. I think that with all the stress and bad publicity that Bush has had he needs to take it easy for a while after he's done with his last term in office. He will Definatley need to get used to a normalish life again. To what MReagan said, he actually could go to rehab again because he used to be an alcoholic.
I don't understand what kind of help you are all talking about. When i read the article it seemed as if the author wasn't literally talking about rehab like the place, but rehab in gaining respect from others again. I don't think Bush will do this because everyone knows him as "Americas worst president"
now that i think about it, either way he will be popular, either as the worst president from the people that hate him, or as a good man, from the people that like him or the ones that he re-gained their trust
I dont so much think Bush needs help, butI dont think It wont be easy for him becaues I think their are more people that hate him than like him. I also think that when Bush leaves things might calm down. I also think we should get a better president.
I agree with K Mello. People now may try to hurt or do something bad to Bush beacause all of the bad decisions he made. I dont like Bush at all. I think he will be less popular, now that he isnt president.
He will definatley need a little help getting used to normal life. After 8 years of people doing grocery shopping and driving you to places i think i would too. It may be possible for him to regain his popularity if whoever goes into office next does a wicked bad job and screws the country over even more.
I think Bush will gain popularity faster than expected because after his term ends he can be himself which isn't how he is now because he has to at least try to conform to the wants and needs of the American people while in the white house but when his term ends he can tell us how he really feels about the war and well everything (I don't know if anybody remembers but about 90% of America wanted the war when it first started so Bush did what WE wanted because thats his job, to lead the country how WE want it not how he wants it) so yea i think his popularity will spike once we start hearing HIS voice more often.
Dlaine hit the nail on the head and im going to continue what they said, Can you imagine being in Bush's shoes he wasnt actually a terrible republican leader, when we threw him into office we knew what he wanted to do and we also influenced many of the things he did, by going to a war that drained money taxes would have to increase, The economy wasnt him, that was our banks lending loans to people that couldn't pay them back, which takes billions of dollars out of the economy adding to inflation and adding to our debts, local and international. I think that if people look back and think of it as that, he will have a great chance at becoming popular again, but if we only look at the things he did muck up on and the things we voted and suaded him on that didnt end up so swell he will remain infamous and disliked
i think i made all the points i wanted to JohnRogers Per5
I really agree with DLaine. We did want this war, now we're all sour grapes on George Bush for listening greatly to the American people. I am not a Bush fan, by any means, but saying that he "needs help" is a bit blunt. I think that if bush needs to gain his populartity back then maybe he should start another war with like our next biggest enemy and im sure he would love to see his name all over the news and on the headlines of all the news papers that would get him popularity if that doesnt happen then he sould just get the help he needs and go to rehab with Alkida

I think Bush is a nice guy. He's funny, easy-going, seems to know what he's doing. America's still alive, so I'd say he's doing a good job. Now it just depends on how our next president does. If a crisis were to happen, no dout talk-show hosts would pull big-ol Georgie on their show and talk to him about what he thinks. Also, most of the people here talking about how he needs help. I bet if you asked those people one thing they politically don't like about George W. Bush, they wouldn't be able to say anything. They hear the public and their parents say how terrible Bush is, and just believe it and say the same things. I feel really, there is nothing wrong with President Bush.
i think bush needs help.but i also think that he will be very popular even though he was a very bad president he will still be popular because he was president.
I agree with everyone that thinks that bush needs help. He just needs to give up because no matter what he cant be president anymore. Like alicia said he won't regain popularity again.
Like everyone said, He DOES need help. I don't think he will ever be popular again becuase he already messed up enough and let our country down. Emily Harris

I think that Bush will be plenty popular once he's out of office. One of the main reasons people voted for him in the first place, was the fact that he seems like a regular guy. Although, he's has put this country through a whole lot of controversal decisions and that may mean he might need help, like th eauthor said.
i agree with most of these people saying that bush will need more help because i dont think he'll be able to do it on his own either, and i agree with heather, some presidents just have a really bad term.
I think Bush will stay hated since he got us inot this mess with the economy. Just because he passes the torch to somebody else doesn't make him a prestigious man.
I don't agree because he still did what he did in the White House and that doesn't get ereased as soon as he leaves people will still have to deal with it(clean it up). Which was unpopular in most people's eyes. "We’ll not be depending on him, so we’ll be free to like him." I think that this says what the author thinks most people will think of at the time of Bush's departure.
" Bush needs help, Bush needs help" your all ignorant. He has the toughest job in the world, and had great plans for his presidensy which were ruined be terrorist scumbags!!!! If not for 9-11 this country would be in great shape instead we had to go to war to protect this country and the freedom of YOU and every other american who shows no support. He is doing considerably well considering past events (9-11) but wait America must be forgetfel, do we not all remember the days after 9-11 over 97% called for war but once its all said and done people dont like it anymore well this is as much your fault as bush's if not more.
