The United States and India have reached an agreement allowing India to have nuclear weapons/technology from the US.
- Should the United States be the sole authority when it comes to deciding who has nuclear power?
- Why should India be allowed to have nuclear technology when North Korea, Iran, etc are not allowed to?

if there are other countrys that want to have nuclear power than i think that the us should not be the ones to decide that they can and can not have that ability. the world is trying to come up with a secondary recource for power and if the countrys that can help us with that will work on trying to use nuclear power than i think that we should come to an agreement with the coountrys that use it that they will not use it in warfare with the usa but we should not be the ones to decide. places like iraq and afganistan that would use nuclear power to deystroy the us i think we should not let them have it we should stop them from useing it against us. so overall i think that the usa should not be able to decide if the other countrys of the world can have nuclear power

They absolutly should not be able to do what they want with nuclear power because if you have nuclear power you get enriched uranium, and if you have that you have the capability to produce nuclear weapons. Think about this, do you want a terrorist country such as Iran to have the ability to launch a nuclear atack. Geting back to India, we are allowing them to get nuclear arms because we feel they are not a terrorist country. The US should make their own desisions as to who can have nuclear power, if another country has a problem with that and tells a country that doen't have the US's permission we should go in and shut the plants down.

I think that anyone country can do what they wan't with there nuclear power excpet i dont think we should share nuclear power unless if we are allies with the other country and were in war but besides that i think we shouldnt give them nuclear power.

OMG!!! THIS IS FIRST AND PROBABBLY LAST TIME ME AND KURT WILL AGREE ON ANYTHING. DO NOT let them do what they want with nuclear power, because even though i believe in nuclear power %100, you can develop nuclear bombs from it. This is why I believe that countries seeking to use nuclear energy must first, simply, run it by the UN. Let us know before you do it, and no i dont think just the US should decide, I think it should be the whole UN. Also, India is being granted this power because they are a peaceful country.

i believe they should not have nucleur power because they might try to use it against us and it does affect us because they might bomb us.
I dont think that any country should be allowed to have nuclear power.if we give it to them and US says that they cant have it any more nuclear power after that then they could get mad and bomb the US for taking that away.

I agree with Hannah that the country's should chose what ever they want for power. But it is stupid that the United States is wasting more money to give India nuclear power. The U.S. is already in debt so I don't think we should give India nuclear power.

yeah Dan i think u r right the countrys shouldnt do what ever they want i think that if we were to if we needed to forcefully remove the nuclear power from them than i think that they would have had to do something really bad with it like useing nuclear bombs so if we were to "let them have nuclear power" then we should have a sort of secret little base in the country we think is doing something like that and if they are we send in enough troops at the right time so no one would get hurt and stop them and take away the source of nuclear energy i didnt think that we would just sit there and wait for a bomb to be dropped from a plane and kill us all so any way

the us should not have the right to say who has the right to have nuclear power, but at the same time if they get in the wrong hands this power can be turned into a weapon. India should get the power though because they are less of threat to us than Iran and north Korea

I dont think the us should be deciding who should have nuclear power because oure country has gone through wars.India should be allowed to have nuclear power and iraqu shouldent because iraqu was the ones who got into a war with us plus we dont feel save with guns on them never mind nuclear weapons. In a way i think that the US should be able to regulate foreign nuclear powers. If we all lived lived in another country we would think that it is wrong for the US to be able to regulate nuclear power. India is being allowed nuclear power because the US doesn't see them as a thrat like Iran and other terorist states.

I think the US should stop putting their nose in other peoples buisness and NO ONE should have nuclear power. If no one had nuclear power what is there to worry about? No one can bomb us and we can't bomb anyone else. Having no nuclear power pretty much solves a whole lot of problems.

I do a agree with Kurt and Dan on this one. The U.S. should control the flow of nuclear power, if in the wrong hands the enemy of the country with nuclear power is in trouble. But the U.S. shouldn't be the sole supplier because if we do become corrupt we need someone to whip us back into shape.And India is granted nuclear power because they seem harmless to a point.

I think the U.S. should not have the authority on nuclear weapons/energy if a country plans on starting a nuclear program then have them tell the united nations and them handle it and by the way im pretty sure we are seen as the biggest threat to use nuclear weapons (we've used them 2 times maybe 3 ill have to look into it) so what happens if we are not regulated an we regulate everyone else just because we have more power ill tell you what either some corruption snakes its way to the white house and decides we should run everything or the regulated countries strike back...end result if we become the authority on nukes=WW3

The U.S. can't decide whether you have nuclear weapons or not, but if you look like a threat and you have nuclear weapons then i believe the U.S. or any other country should have the right to go into that country and get rid of them.

Why should we be the ones in charge of the nuclear power? They shouldnt be able to do what they want with the nuclear power if they are in a war with a counrty and they decide to use it then people would die. I don't think that the US should be responsible for deciding who has nuclear power when it is something that effects the whole world. India shouldn't be allowed to have nulclear power. I mean what makes them differnent from anyone else with nuclear power. Nuclear power is nuclear power no matter what you do with it.

I think that no one should be able to have nuclear power, because it can lead to bad and worldly disasters if people who have that power don't use it the right way. I also think that if a country did want nuclear power, that they should not ask the US but the UN because the UN has to do with worldly affairs and so if anything were to happen we wouldn't be blamed for it.

I dont think it is a big deal with India having nuclear power, we would just have to watch out on how they use it but i agree with not having iran or other countries like that because they already had the chance of having that ind of power and they used it agaisnt us.
