i wouldn't really really care but if we had to wouldn't really care because all i do is get up get dressed and off i go to school and when i get home i do my homework and then i go to sleep and i do it all over again

i think that its not that big of a deal for guys because we really dont wear anything that bad but for the girls it seems like they would apply alot more.

i don't know about any one else but i would want to pick what i wear to school and if i don't then i wouldn't enjoy school knowing i look like a dork in front of my friends i don't think uniforms are something that we should have i want to wear like Hollister or American eagle.

i would nit care at all simply because i wouldnt follow the ruls i wouldnt care how much trouble i get in freedom of dpeech is the first amendment its my freedom to wear what i want my parents dnt pay for the school so i wouldnt wear there uniforms.

i think uniforms would be okay if we got to design them on how we would want to look like. like if people like to wear hollister and american eagle that is how they should be designed to wear they get money and so does the school

every school should have a dress code and punish individuals for breaking this rule but if like every one is breakig it then yes uniforms should become an idea to fix it

uniforms might solve the inapropreate clothing problem but a lot of people would hate uniforms i know i would if they had us wear uniformes i wouldn't because D.R. is a public school so you wouldn't think you have to wear a uniforme if it was forced i would move to another school

NO I dont want school uniforms!! I dont like the idea of everybody wearing the same clothes to school. It seriously restricts personality and individualism. There are relatively little to no problems with wearing your own clothes. and most of us only wear blue jeans which are as american as apple pie. So dont try to tell me that there is a need for uniforms, which dont do anything but restrict freedom of expression and inhibit individuality. A uniform is not the way to cut down on school violence. the only thing that will cut down on school violence is if parents would pay attention to their children and keep their children out of trouble and give them consequences when they disobey and not to let them run wild. Also School Uniforms are expensive and have no use out side of school.Not everyone should be punished for other peoples crimes! And Im not against any schools that have uniforms, but I really dont see the need.

I don't think uniforms are a good idea.
I like wearing what i wanna wear, not what other people tell me to, and how exactly are kids supposed to "be who they are" and "find themselves" if they cant even dress the way they want to?

personally i wouldnt want uniforms becuase people should wear what they want to wear but if we had to get them i would be fine with it.
it would just make it a lot easier than to pick out something to wear every morning.
for other schools, it depends if they should wear them or not, if the students make fun of the other students on what they wear then yes they shouldnt but if they dont then they shouldnt have to wear uniforms.

I agree with Danny that our school doesnt need school uniforms but i do think that some of the schools do need school uniforms because it prevents kids from getting made fun of by the clothes that they wear. If you go to a public school there should not be a dress code. If you go to a private school and that school wants uniforms then fine if you dont like it go to a public school. Uniforms wouldnt be that bad anyway because everyone would wear it so its not like you would stick out.

No I don't think DR or anyother school should have a dress code. It is stupid that kids can't wear what they want to wear. But I do agree that there should be some extent of dress code in the schools not showing anything that your parents wouldn't want to see.

I had to wear a uniform at my old school and it was horrible! people would just not follow the dress code anyway so what's the point? People are always telling you to be your own person and do what you want to do so people shouldn't have too look just like each other Also, it's not really comfortable wearing a skirt and dress shoes to school every day

I whole heartily agree with Dan(finally on all the topics something comes up;P), it does dampen
individuality (yes, I'm most likely going to say the same thing as everyone else) and why should i have to wear something that I'm not going to wear out of school? I like my possessions to have a multi-function. Just because you can change some kid's clothes doesn't mean you take the fight out of them. Sure it can make you feel good, but how long will that feeling last?

I think people should wear what they want to wear because our parents pay for us to go to school. But I can see why schools use dress codes because some kids dress inapropately for school and a dress code would seem simpler. But I do not agrue with dress codes Also kids might get verry angry and rebel against dress cods.Plus I dont really think our schools need a dress code.

In my old school I had to wear a uniform, although it was just more of a dress code, but i got used to it. That's why it was nice however to come to DR so i wouldn't have to wear a uniform anymore. Personal for public school i think there is n reason for a dress code. The only good outcome of a dress code is that no one would be made fun of how they dressed, and it would deffinetley be cheaper. But I just don't see the reason for a uniform in a public school.

Okay I have alot to say. There is absolutely no problem what-so-ever with wearing uniforms. I wore uniforms for 10 years of my life, I think I would do it for four more. I hate picking out clothes everyday just to go to school. If we had uniforms, there would be no competition, no worries about anything showing that innapropriate...it's just another way to make school easier. I mean some uniforms are pretty bad looking but if we had choices like what Aeropostle sells now, that'd be okay and understandable. Kids makes sucha big deal about uniforms, but they're not really that bad, trust me; plus its a whole lot easier. I don't think we NEED uniforms, but I wouldn't rebel or argue if we had them. I know alot of kids like to wear want..especially girls. I have soo much more to say but I don't feel like typing anymore..I'd rather say it in person.

I wouldnt wear school uniforms simply becasue we should be in control of what we wear. im not going to let the school administrator tell me what to wear. I spent good money on my school clothes, and im not gonna wear the same outfit everyday to school. It's embarrassing.I would fight for justice.

I would hate it if D-R got uniforms. I personally like choosing what to wear because its a form of self-expression and individuality. I can see why people would think uniforms are a solution because sometimes people are judged by what they wear.

I don't think any school should have uniforms or a dress code what so ever. I think people should be able to express themselves in creative ways, one which includes the freedom to dress however or in whatever you want. regardless of what people try to tell you.

People should not have to wear uniforms to school. If we had to wear uniforms it would make people mad, then there would be a lot more problems and people might leave school and go to a diffent school that dont have to wear uniforms.

i think that the uniform code should not be in public schools i think Kurt is right the private schools need to stand out so they should be wearing there schools name and the school is paying for you in public school i don't think that i would wear a uniform i don't think we should have to if we don't have to and if we do then i would get a group of my friends and not wear the uniforms and protest.

I don't know if I'd mind that much. I don't think I agree that uniforms create a better learning environment. I really don't think what you wear takes a toll on your learning experience. Students can't really complain because if a school decides to go uniform it is because they as students decided to defy dress code.

If there was a uniform i wouldn't have a problem with it. It does make things better in some ways. I do understand though that people want to be able to express themselves.

i would not wear a uniform, ever. and i wouldent want the school to design one because no one would agree on it and if we could all design our own then its pointless because its right back at were we started. first of all no one can tell me what to wear its not up to you and if they made us wear like a hollister uniform i would drop out.

I wish more than anything that DR had uniforms.
But then like.. a dress down day every Friday :D
It's really annoying picking out an outfit EVERY DAY.
And people would be equal.
Kids wouldn't get judged by the way they normally dress.

I wouldn't really care if we had to wear uniforms to school, but I think that everyone shows their individuality through what they wear so it might be really boring and you can't tell what kind of person someone is.
In another way I think its good that no one knows what your like through your cloths because you wouldn't get made fun of and you can be friends with whoever and not with who dresses like you.

I wouldn't mind that much having a dresscode. No one would no if someone was poor, or if someone was rich. Teenager wouldn't be stressing out about having to wear the "latest fashion" or wanting everything Hollister or A&F. I think it's a fine idea. Even if we would look like idiots, everyone else in school would look the same way!

Come on, who wouldnt like to wake up with their clothes already picked out? and i think uniforms would decrease the amount of harassment between students about what they wear. people dont mean to, but you od judge people on what they wear.

In some ways uniforms are good. I think it would take a lot of pressure of the average student or any one to be worried if their clothes look bad or if they don't have the money to buy more clothes and certain clothes place you in certain places among the school. So with uniforms you wouldn't have to worry about all that stuff.. but it would also take away much of ones freedom.. and uniqueness.. which is not good.
