i think that that is so sad and i hope that when people read that blog and listen to the story they realize that this war or what ever it is now is killing people and that families sre losing loved ones
Hannah Wilson
Wow that is really sad and it doesnt seem that other people like the president are doing anything to try and stop the killing. they just let them go out there and hope they dont die. If that is what the president is doing then i would like to see him go out there and fight for our country considering hes our president. Mitchell Powers
Wow that blog was so sad.I feel bad for his family they must be going through a rought time. Also seeing this blog knowing that this could be happening to other families and people makes me really mad.The president not doing anything about this makes me even mader.Hes our president and he should be fighting for our country. Not putting the lives of other people on the line. But I do understand that people do love the army and want to helpus stay free and I respect that.
Liz Hatten
this was sad because he was such a good American and was fighting for the right reasons. i fell bad for the family and friends who have to go through this tough time. this war and the killing of Americans has gone has to be stopped.

alright people.
im a pacifist..
Dictionary.com: pacifist 1. The belief that disputes between nations should and can be settled peacefully.
^^^yes i believe THIS! i have only little sympathy for people who die in the war. its self-suicide.
i was on an air plane comming back to mass and there was a women in an army uniform. there was an extra first class seat and they gave it to her..that is rediculous! she didnot pay the extra money and she did not deserve to sit in that elite seat!
i was at a resturant with a bar in the back this one time..a huge crown was gathered arround this one man in an army suit..does he wear that smelly thing out just to get attention? poeple were thanking him perfusely, congratulating him on doing a great job in risking his life..STUPID STUPID STUPID!!!
like what? thank you so much for killing all these innocent people and waisting billions of dollars on some thing that could be settled in PEACE?? people are you serious..that is rediculous!! i cant say it enough. war is stupid
AUGH AGRIVATING!!
--BACON!!!
Mr. borden, are you trying to get me mad?
Peace and love saves the day!
but yeah this war is pointless and should be stopped but if we are going to be killed by terroist how can they stop it??

I think is very sad. I think who ever is the next president should pull all of the troops out of Afganistan.
Justin Costa Period 2
Yea it sucks that this guy died. I totally agree with what he stood for. The President isn't just sending out troops for no reason, hes putting them out for a perpose, to protect and serve the country. They arn'e dieng aimlessly, they are dying for you and me. Do you people(Mitchell Powers and Liz Hatten) honestly belive that the president is retarded enough to not do anything when we have a war goin on in the middle east?!? I don't care how dumb you think Bush is, nobody can be that stupid without some kind of mental disability. In a perfect world, we would all be pacifists. But unfortunatly, we don't, face it.
Zach Tavares
that is so sad.
-connor perry-
this is really sad, i feel bad for his family going through this touch time.we've been in the war for i think 6 years now? they should stop sending people out there and just stop the war. its been going on for too long and a lot of people are dieing.

I think that this was really sad, and I feel really bad for his family. Just as we should feel bad for all the other families who have lost love ones in this war. I think this war is ridiculous for lasting so long, it should be stopped so no more Americans have to die. Even though it is very honorable to die for your country, its just getting old and sad.

Wow, I really feel bad for this young soldier. You see, I have a brother in law who serves in our army. I think that the people out there fighting for us everyday are true heroes and should be respected as so. I understand that a lot of people may be agains war seen as how this is a mainly democratic state. But, if we pull out of there now, we're practically begging the terrorists to come over here and perform yet another bombing on our soil. We need to not be only sending the brave men and women of our nation but w need to also send officials that can make the proper changes the the Middle Eastern government. This would lower the death rate of young men and women in the force. If we have officials go over into the Middle East they could solve this in a more peace associated manner of negotiations. We need to enforce tactics used when the founding of our country occured. Such as political meetings, and document revisions that could prvoide a start to democracy in other nations. Buut, I think theze people rerally want to be able to practice their religion fluently but they have a very violent way of doing so and that needs to be stopped. I sorry but, if a religion is getting way out of hand then we need to tell them to keep their practices to a non-radical practice form.

I think its really sad and i think its time to withdraw from the war. But you also have to remember that their fighting for us and to keep us safe.

This is really sad and I'd like people to read the story because this is like and war and many people are loosing loved ones.

war is sad.
this man died fighting for a country that he was proud of. it's things like that that make war even more unbearable.

This blog is very sad. My step mom is a solider and she has fought in Iraq and i could not imagine that happining to her. It also makes me mad that the president isnt doing anything.

that is sooo sad. i feel soo bad for his family and what they are going through and all the other families that have to go through that horrible pain.
i really dont want to be in war anymore!!!!

(i did the last comment that was put)
That is a sad story. I think we should keep pulling out more troops every month because there is no way we are going to win the war. Just like vietnam we can't win.
Spencer Grassie
I think that people should relize that we can't win this war because if wwe could of we would of done it already.
Sam Thornley
This is sad, but we can't pull out of Afghanistan just yet because if we do, terrorists would probably start joining up there and using all their power to attack us. We need to keep these places secure so Al Qaeda don't gain power.
Eric Loureiro
i feel their pain, and its tragedies like this that make me sick. because nobody is doing anything to make it right, to make this world a better place, without killings, and wars, and murders that occur everyday. Our government should pay more attention to the killings and take our troops back!
David Blanchette

This is so devistating.
Inoscent people just keep getting killed at war fighting for our country and I wish that the war would just end.
I feel so bad for these people (family&friends) of the killed loved ones, it needs to stopppp!

okay thank you Erik L. I agree that we need to finish what we started no matter how sad it is. AND YES I KNOW WAR SUCKS, but you hoitie toitie upper middle class kids think that theres no reason. Well let me tell you, THERE ARE BAD PEOPLE OUT THERE! THEY DO BAD THINGS! AND WEVE BEEN SO QUICK TO PUT 9/11 OUT OF OUR MINDS THAT WEVE FORGOTTEN WHY WERE FIGHTING! DONT YOU GET IT!!!! REALLY i mean do you think that if we just sit over here and say "ph im a pacifisst, leave me alone" that everything will work out! GROW UP AND FACE FACTS!!! And are you suggesting that the men and women who fight to keep you safe every day in a land where your mom isnt raped and killed and you dont watch people die every day of your life dont deserve to be honered for their bold services!! perhaps you should think about this tonight while your cozy and warm in your bed while people are dieing for YOU!

i think its sad but its not the presidents fault. its not like he drafted them into the war. they signed up for it. but it is sad were loosing people.
^^^^emilyhorner
i agree with eric its not the presidents fault but he could have prevented it but he didnt so now the soldiers are paying the price so we need to pull out of there now

I now feel that this war is the right thing. Finally instead of listening to politician and fellow students rant for or against the war I heard a SOLDIER'S view the soldiers should decide what the war is about and if its worth fighting for because they are the ones who die for that cause. Listen to them and then decide what to do in Iraq.
P.S-everything is NOT Bush's fault
Dan Laine
Yea, i TOALLY agree with Zach Tavares because the President is NOT just sending our troops out there for no reason, it is to protect us. Yea we all know it's sad when they die, because you don't want anyone you know dying especially a family member, or just because you know someone else is suffering from their death, but honestly, they are the ones that entered into the army themselves and wanted to fight for their own country, they weren't entered into it by someone els. They are risking their lives for US, people they don't even know! That's how much they care about their own country! I totally agree with Eric and Danny, they practially said it all. I would love to talk about this topic in class...soon if possible!

i agree with justin coasta because i think it sad and i agree that all the troops should be pulled out
I respect that this young man gave his life to preserve our home, it is quite amazing to hear a soldiers point of view on the matter of war, but even him, who has witnessed his friends suffering and lived the suffering.. and ultimitly dieing in it believes that what he is doing is justifiable which either proves amazing brainwashing powers on our governments part, hes crazy, or that he simply knows the matter better than any of us can; perhaps a mix of the three, but still is killing a person truly justifiable, if everything were an eye for an eye we'd all be blind
~john rogers
I think it's a slap in the face for those who are ignorant enough to complete disrespect those who are fighting for our freedom.
-Heather Mello
The story is very sad because the man was a good kid. He was fighting for the right reasons and was loved by his family and friends. The only good aspect of this death is that he loved what he did and his family thinks he would not make any regrets.
KatieTheiss
This war is affecting many people in negative ways. People are dying in a war that has really no point anymore. This blog is just an example of this.
Nick Q.
I think that he is a little closed minded and very defendent of his opinion in the way he put his words. He talks about people who disagree with his views almost disrepectively.
Chris Sanson
i think that this war cant be the number one reason why bush is hated so much i mean he is tring to protect us.
geoff stanley
i agree with Hannah and Lexsey i think that the war bad it is killing all the people in the US and the blog is so sad i fell bad for the family.
Danielle B. period 3
I think its really unforchanent that this man died. I understand that troops are fighting for out country, but it doesn't seem like there is much progress. If nothing ishas been accomplished in the past few years then why do we keep putting people in danger?
Casey DeLeo, period 5
This is so sad. I do agree with dan in a way, like we should finish what we started, but i feel so bad for the people that risk our lives for our country. Its like your own family dying for the counry, imagine how they're family must feel.

I feel horrible for this man who died in Afganistan. He was an innocent man just fighting for his country. Now not only has he passed, but his family has to live with that everyday. I think, like many other people, these wars shoud end. It's innocent people like him dieing in battle for defending their country.

Some people leaving comments here are really ignorant.
1. Bush isn't stupid. He can't just pull everyone out of the war.
2. The troops arent there for no reason. They are there to protect us. They are dieing for us. And they deserve all the respect they get.
But I agree with Chris Sanson. Even though this man faught for the right reasons, he is putting down everyone who doesnt necessarily agree with him (and I think that's wrong of him).
k valcorba / period seven
Erica, that is the most ignorant statement i have ever heard. Let me get this straight, your telling me that you think that nobody should go into war and if they do its THEIR fault they died!! THEY SERVED THEIR LIVES TO PROTECT YOU AND THIS IS HOW YOU REPAY THEM!!! That is the most selfcentered thing. Ugh im just gonna stop now before i brake my keaboard.
-K Pearson
I think it is a dramitic thing that happened. Everything else i agree with hannah wilson.
Pat Pickering
This is very sad. Many soldiers die DAILY, and people in the army and should be congratulated. They protect you with their lives!so what do you do to defend the U.S.? You sit there at night thinking about that special someone while people over seas think about who they might not see because they DIED. Oh and some people seriously think that we(as Americans) can talk this war out? What's your brilliant plan to end this war? Go to Iraq and say,"Hey, you the guy in power lets chat." We guess what, that won't happen. They would kill you on sight. They see you that trigger is going to get pulled and hurtle a projectile to assassinate you before you even knew they were there. Are you willing to stand in front in the line of fire???????? Don't think so!
E.T. (so enraged at the ignorance of some people>=0)
This is why the war in Iraq should stop becuase inoccent soldiers are dying.

How terrible this person died. I completly agree with everything he said, and thank God for all the marines fighting for our country.

I fell bad that we lost another good soldier.
J.S
I see exactly where this man is coming from.. and in many ways i feel the same. like when i over hear conversations of people waning to join the army and fight for america.. ther's always that person who feels the need to shot that person down saying "oh, why would you want to do that?" "Are you stupid." OR "i'm not going to waste my life to save people i don't even know.." How can you say that to someone ready to step forward and risk their only life, their only chance, just to keep your greedy self safe.. Anyone who considers that is a true American.. And if you don't like it, you know how to leave.
Alycia E
I think we should pull the troops out, because theres no point of having them in Iraq.
Pinto
This is very sad and i feel bad for the family.

i think this is really sad and people who havent had anyone die dont really know what it feels like so they dont care as much but for people who have lost someone close to them really just want this all to end.
